Everything you need to know about booking a private transfer with Fat Cats.
How much does a transfer cost?+
Every route has a clear price from the start — no meter, no surge, no surprises. Airport transfers start from €30. You get the price up-front when you book, either online, on WhatsApp or by phone.
Can I pay with cash?+
Yes. You can pay the driver in cash (EUR) on the day, or by card. Online card payments will be available soon.
Is there a fee for paying by card?+
Card payments include a small processing fee (2.5%), shown clearly before you confirm. Cash payments have no extra fee.
What happens if my flight is delayed?+
We track your flight. If it's delayed, we adjust the pickup at no extra cost. Just make sure you gave us your flight number when booking.
What if my flight is cancelled?+
Let us know as soon as you can and we'll rearrange or refund your transfer at no charge.
How do I cancel or change my booking?+
Reply to your confirmation WhatsApp or call us. Cancellations more than 24 hours before pickup are free of charge; cancellations within 24 hours aren't refundable.
What if I'm running late for a hotel or villa pickup?+
Contact us as soon as you know — we'll do our best to accommodate you. If we can't reach you and you don't arrive within a reasonable time of the scheduled pickup, the transfer may be treated as a no-show.
Do you provide child or baby seats?+
Yes — baby seats, child seats and boosters are provided free of charge on request. Please mention it when you book.
Where will the driver meet me at Faro Airport?+
Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name sign, straight after you clear the baggage claim.
How will I recognise my driver?+
You'll get your driver's name and vehicle details by WhatsApp before pickup, and they'll be holding a name sign in arrivals.
Do you carry golf clubs, bikes or extra luggage?+
Yes. Let us know in the special requests field so we can send the right vehicle.
How many passengers and bags fit in each vehicle?+
It depends on the vehicle — our booking form automatically matches you with a vehicle sized for your group and luggage. Check the Fleet section for capacity details.
Do you do weddings and large groups?+
Yes — weddings, corporate events, golf groups and long-distance transfers to Lisbon, Porto or Seville. Use the Contact form for a custom quote.
Do you go outside the Algarve, like Lisbon or Seville?+
Yes, we run long-distance transfers to Lisbon and Seville as well as anywhere within the Algarve. Book online or contact us for a quote.
Can I book a return transfer?+
Yes — you can book your outbound and return transfer together, or add a return trip later through the manage booking link in your confirmation.
How far in advance should I book?+
As early as you can, especially in peak season, though we can often accommodate short-notice bookings too. Bookings within 48 hours of pickup should be arranged via WhatsApp so we can confirm availability.
Are you licensed?+
Yes — we operate under RNAVT Licence №4621, Portugal's official licence for passenger transport operators.
Is my personal data safe?+
Yes — we only share what's needed with your driver to complete the transfer, and never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
