This Privacy Policy explains how Fat Cats Transfers ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you book or enquire about a transfer, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. What data we collect

When you book a transfer, contact us, or leave a review request, we may collect:

Name, email address and phone number (including WhatsApp)
Pickup and drop-off addresses, flight number and travel dates
Number of passengers, luggage and any special requests (e.g. child seats)
Payment information, processed directly by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)
Basic technical data (IP address, browser) via standard website analytics

2. How we use your data

We use your data to:

Confirm, manage and provide your transfer, including sharing pickup details with your assigned driver
Track your flight to adjust pickup times
Contact you about your booking by email, phone or WhatsApp
Process payments securely via Stripe
Send a review request after your trip, if you choose to leave one
Meet our legal and accounting obligations

3. Who we share it with

We share the minimum information necessary with our drivers (your name, pickup/drop-off details, flight number, phone number) so they can carry out your transfer. We use Stripe to process online payments. We do not sell your personal data, and we don't share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. How long we keep your data

We keep booking records for as long as needed to fulfil the transfer and to meet our legal and tax obligations (typically up to 10 years for invoicing records, as required under Portuguese law), after which it is deleted or anonymised.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Ask us to correct inaccurate data
Ask us to delete your data, subject to our legal retention obligations
Object to or restrict certain processing
Lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD)

6. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including using Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant) for payment processing and restricting access to booking data to staff and drivers who need it to deliver your transfer.
